It's 1956 and Hollywood has arrived in Natchez, Mississippi with its brightest stars, Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift, to film Raintree County. Meanwhile at Clemmie's, a Natchez tea room, the proprietor who has a fascination with movies and a secret admirer, oversees her own cast of the town’s most colorful characters. Competition for a small role in the movie brings out the best and worst of these memorable characters. Twists, turns and revelations lead Clemmie to trade a moment of fame for love and the chance to impact the lives of people she holds dear.

I was fortunate enough to see this with a good friend opening week. I went in with no idea of the three act play's premise. I was expecting a much darker performance. Instead, I was entertained with quick wit and hysterical physical performances. Set in the 70s, the costumes are a laugh themselves. The music between acts will having you grooving in your seats. Upon leaving, my cheeks hurt with laughter. Collapse
