John Irving receives the 2008 Nashville Public Library Literary Award in November. Celebrating Irving's upcoming public talk at the Ryman Auditorium on November 8, and our citywide read of his work, the monthly Short Story Lunch Hour welcomes special guest reader Mayor Karl Dean. The Mayor will read selections from his favorite author's books including A Prayer for Owen Meany and The Cider House Rules. Join us and feel free to bring a lunch!
