Can You Duet's Jared Johnson grew up in a little place called Belton, Tex., a town full of the stuff of country music - cowboys and rodeos, Friday night lights, young love, Jesus, and small town gossip about the latest addiction, betrayal, or broken heart. After graduating from college and playing four years of college football, Jared headed out to Nashville to pursue his dream of singing and writing. His patience and determination paid off. In November of 2006, Jared was signed to a publishing deal with Big Loud Shirt Publishing.
