The 16-member Nashville Double Reed Ensemble, made up of oboes, oboe d'amore, English horns, bassoons and contrabassoons, will bring its colorful tonal richness to Lipscomb University's Ward Hall. Lipscomb's own band conductor Stephen Rhodes will serve as conductor for the performance. Our newest member of the ensemble is Sally Reid, chair of the Department of Music at Lipscomb. The Nashville Double Reed Ensemble has been seen at local venues such as Bachanlia at Christ Church Cathedral, Middle Tennessee State University and WPLN's "Live in Studio C." The program for the evening will include various small and large ensemble selections including, Menuet by C. Debussy, Two Sketches by Reid, Suite in F Major by Mozart, Pertuum Mobile by Strauss, Shepherd's Hey by Grainger and Tango by Albeniz.
