Christian high school choirs from throughout the region will perform at Lipscomb University's Collins Alumni Auditorium. This free festival will feature eight high schools, including David Lipscomb High School, Ezell Harding Christian School and Middle Tennessee Christian School. The choirs will perform several songs as a group, and each choir will individually perform two pieces. Among the group selections are I Will Arise, a 20th century concert number by Dale Grotenhuis; Cantate Domino by Hans Leo Hassler; Ain't That Good News, a spiritual by William Dawson; and Thou Shalt Know Him, a contemporary hymn by Mark Sirett. The guest conductor for the grand chorus is Rebecca Gruber, of Des Moines, Iowa. The performing choirs will vary in size and the type of music they specialize in.
