The Nashville Wind Ensemble, directed by Lipscomb band director Stephen Rhodes, will give a free performance as part of the annual Faculty & Friends Concert Series. The Nashville Wind Ensemble has performed for enthusiastic audiences since its inception in 1990. Well known throughout the Middle Tennessee area, the ensemble's performances have included a variety of venues, such as appearances at Belmont, Lipscomb and Vanderbilt universities, the Tennessee Music Educators Association Convention, the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts and numerous high schools and churches. The goal of the ensemble is to allow both the performers and audience to enjoy the very best in band literature.
