A native of East St. Louis, Alvin Jett has been entertaining audiences throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area for over twenty-five years. Jett came from a musical family. His father, Robert Jett, played drums with the likes of Little Milton, Albert King, and Benny Sharp. After a brief stint in the navy, Alvin returned to St. Louis and began to seriously focus on playing the guitar, something he had dabbled with as a child. He joined Tommy Bankhead & the Blues Eldorados, a popular local group, where he honed his skills playing throughout the St. Louis area for several years. He went on to lead various bands in the area before forming Alvin Jett & the Phat noiZ, his current group, in the year 2003.

The Phat noiZ is Jett’s means for delivering his fiery brand of in-your-face, hard driving blues music. The band’s original material reveals roots in rock, funk, R&B, soul, and at times, hints of gospel and rockabilly. The band has worked hard to craft a signature sound that transforms easily from high-energy rock to soulful blues ballads.
