    On Saturday, December 13 the Belmont Mansion will host its first ever free Victorian Christmas celebration for families and the local community. This event, sponsored by Green Bank, is free for anyone wanting to experience an authentic Victorian Christmas. The party will feature Victorian Christmas traditions that were observed by the Acklen family. The festivities will take place inside the Belmont Mansion. This shall be a perfect Christmas environment for guests to experience Victorian era themed games, activities, crafts, and food. Children will enjoy making snow globes, Christmas cards, pinecone Christmas trees, and Victorian fans while listening to live holiday music. Traditional refreshments of the time such as popcorn balls, ginger snaps, and hot cider will be provided as well. Please come eager to have fun and learn about the holiday traditions of an era that helped shape the modern day experience of Christmas.
