Lipscomb University?s Jazz Band and Jazz Vocal Ensemble will present a fall concert in Shamblin Theatre on the Lipscomb campus. Selections for the concert include: Christmas Love Song, Java Jive and Christmas Time is Here.

The Jazz Vocal Ensemble is a quintet of mixed vocals (two sopranos, alto, tenor and bass) which performs in a wide variety of jazz vocal styles. The vocal ensemble is directed by Dr. Gary P. Wilson, professor of music at Lipscomb. The 18-member University Jazz Band plays a variety of styles including traditional big band swing, hard bop, gospel, Latin, West Coast and ballads, as performed by many of the famous jazz artists throughout history. The Jazz Band is directed by Dr. Steve Rhodes, professor of music.
