Nashville's all volunteer community orchestra plays a program of "Fanfare and Fate." The Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 2004 and has grown to about sixty five members. The orchestra is conducted by Chris Norton, Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at Belmont University. This program includes Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, Ludwig van Beethoven's Fifth Symphony in C Minor, Op. 67 and Aram Khachaturian's Masquerade Suite.
