Oil Painting with Annie Tagg: Beginners

This class will be an introduction to oil painting covering the basics. Students will learn how to choose a brush, paint and mediums. Students will learn about under painting and why is it important as well as tonal values and how to see them to create the illusion of three dimensions. For the first class students should bring a small can of odorless turpentine, burnt sienna oil paint, and an 8” x 10” canvas. Other supplies will be needed and the teacher will discuss this in first class.
