    The Resolution Run is a 10K Run, Walk or Roll held every year on New Year's Day. In 2009, organizers are bringing back many of the activities that have made this event a New Year's Day tradition for serious runners and fun-seekers, as well. These include door prizes, medals to winners in all age categories, and a traditional New Year's Day meal of black-eyed peas and cornbread provided by the Hermitage Hotel after the race. Awards are three deep in 5-year age categories, men's and women's. Also included are plaques for overall, master's, grandmasters, senior grandmasters and wheelchair division winners. This is a sanctioned Corporate Challenge event, with medals and plaques for corporate teams, as well.

    The Resolution Run is one of the most scenic 5K races in the Nashville area. The certified 5k (3.1 mile) course starts on Demonbreun Street across from the Country Music Hall of Fame and proceeds across the Cumberland River. Runners loop around a portion of the Coliseum on Titans Way and Victory Avenue before, once again, crossing the Cumberland River via the Pedestrian Bridge.
