    The final Full Moon Pickin' Party event of the season will be a special tribute to the award winning mandolin player, Butch Baldassari. Baldassari created new interest in the mandolin in a wide variety of music genres. He was an inspiration to people who loved his music and who knew him as a friend. He performed and recorded with many of the top names in bluegrass, Celtic and other genres. Butch Baldassari was also instrumental in the start up and success of the Full Moon Pickin' Parties since 2001. The music for the event will feature an eclectic ensemble of musicians honoring the life and work of Baldassari. Performers include Kathy Chiavola, Sharon Cort & New River Ranch, Matt Combs and others. It is sure to be a night to remember.

    Friends of Warner Parks presents the tenth season of Full Moon Pickin' Parties running May through October 2009. These family-friendly fundraisers feature Middle Tennessee's finest bluegrass music under the light of a full moon. Pickers form circles under the trees and around the grounds performing and jamming while several headliners are featured on stage. You’ll find food available for purchase, and beverages are included in the ticket price. No coolers, please! All of the monies raised from this laid-back affair go directly back into the Parks to ensure preservation, protection and funding of educational programs and special projects.

        Tickets: $15/ticket in advance; $20/ticket at the door; $10/ticket ages 7-15; $5/ticket for pickers with a bluegrass instrument; children 6 and under free.
