Langston Hughes’ classic re-telling of the birth of Christ is packed full of Gospel musical power, and this year, we’re in a new venue with a cast of All-Stars from over the years including Kenetha carr, Shonka Dukureh, Todd Suttles, and jeff obafemi carr, who will also direct. A special treat will be the young people of the Amun Ra Theatre Performing ARTs Academy, who will join the adult Ensemble as stars of this year’s production. With musical direction by melvin “MAESTRO” lightford, jr. and alex stadaker, and choreography by Nomalanga Eniafe, this year’s show will be truly a gift to the community.
