Martin Luther King Jr.s birthday will be celebrated at Lipscomb University with a panel featuring former civil rights negotiator John Seigenthaler, former Vice Mayor Howard Gentry, Nashville councilwoman Vivian Wilhoite and Joyce Searcy, president of the Bethlehem Centers. These living legends will discuss their personal experiences with the civil rights movement, how it shaped their lives later, and their thoughts on how King's legacy will play out in the Obama era.
