This month The Art Gallery at Belle Meade Plantation features the art of Deerie. The artist will be present at the reception which will feature "Wines for Valentine's" from West Meade Wine & Liquor and food by Martha's at the Plantation. It is sure to be a delightful evening of art, wine and food.

Trained in fine art and portraiture, Deerie began her career in Nashville as a commercial artist before working as an art director for Gaylord Entertainment. In 1992 she opened her own art gallery, The White Tiger. A painter of passion and experience, Deerie uses both oils and acrylics to create images rich with intrigue and mood. Possessing a discerning eye for detail, she surveys every scene and assimilates information to later put down on canvas. Like a frame from a movie or a page of a book, each of her images tells a story, drawing the viewer into the painting and inviting them to feel the moment, going away with more to contemplate.

Opening Reception: Thursday, February 5, 5:30pm-7:30pm
