    Connye Florance sings a Valentine with Jazz from the Heart, a benefit concert to celebrate the life and accomplishments of renowned Nashville attorney, Z. Alexander Looby. Presented by Arts in the Parks, the concert’s proceeds will kick-off the Z. Alexander Looby Tribute Project, with a mission to build a permanent historical exhibit highlighting the life and legacy of the noted Civil Rights attorney. 

    Connye Florance, whose vocal elegance The audience will also be treated to a short excerpt from a new play about the life of Z.Alexander Looby, presented in conjunction with the Metro Parks Theater Department and Amun Ra Theatre, with Nashville actor Rodrikus Springfield.

    Arts in the Parks is an umbrella organization devoted to the growth and funding of programs and activities in Metro Parks’ Cultural Arts Division. The organization provides financial, promotional and volunteer support to enhance the department’s recreational offerings.
