Lipscomb University presents Accuracy of an Impression, an exhibit of paintings by Michael Shane Neal, in the Paul Rogers Board Room in the Ezell Center on the Lipscomb Campus.

Michael Shane Neal is among the most sought after young portrait artists in America today. Recently receiving commissions to paint such luminaries as Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, former Majority Leader and U.S. Senator Bill Frist, former Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham, U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, Federal Chief Judge Anthony Scirica, and Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne. The Artist Magazine listed Neal among 20 rising stars in the world of art. His unique, sensitive and insightful paintings display a commitment for portraying not just the outer likeness of his subjects, but their character and personality as well. A self-described “people person” Neal enthusiastically shares his excitement for interpreting his clients on canvas in a traditional yet painterly style.

Reception and Presentation: A reception for the artist will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 5:30pm in Sanders-Baxter Hall in the Ezell Center followed by a presentation and question and answer aession at 7:00pm in Swang Chapel. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (615) 966-6212.
