The Nashville Jazz Workshop presents a special performance by the Roland Barber Quintet Friday, February 13 in the Jazz Cave at the Nashville Jazz Workshop.

Roland, a Nashville native now living and working in New York, recently won a commission from Chamber Music America to compose a new work. His composition, "Songs of the Village: A Jazz Celebration of Family," premiered at Lincoln Center in December. Roland will be joined by brother Rahsaan Barber (saxophone), Bruce Dudley (piano), Nioshi Jackson (drums), and Jim Ferguson (bass).

There will be two sets beginning at 8:00pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop.
