Beyond February, written, directed and produced by Dorcas Sheffield, explores important (but often little-known) contributions made by African-Americans, such as the inventor of the ironing board, the inventor of the gas mask and famous entertainers. The play is a call for African American history to be taught every day, not just in February, Black History Month.
