A new public art piece, created by artist Aaron Lee Benson, has been installed on Hermitage property to honor the enslaved community. This event will be a dedication of the memorial with a gathering of community members and choirs taking part in a special program. Featured activities include a performance by Sista' Style, a quilt exhibit, hands-on activities for kids, 13th United States Colored Troops Living History Association and a book signing by John Baker/Author of The Washingtons of Wessyngton.
