The next event in the Evening with an Author series features Lorraine Lopez, author of The Gifted Gabaldon Sisters. This book is a great example of how a novel can both educate as well as entertain. It sheds light on Latino culture in modern day Los Angeles (1960s-1980s) and Native American history in turn-of-the-century New Mexico. As described in her bio, the story was inspired by a revelation in her family's history. Lorraine is a masterful storyteller; you'll not want to miss her talk.
