Dan Miller, local career coach and author of 48 Days to the Work You Love, will present a free session for job-seekers in Lipscomb University's Willard Collins Alumni Auditorium. Miller will speak on "What's Holding You Back?" as part of the Extreme Makeover: Career Edition workshop, a one-day event hosted by the Lipscomb Career Center for those seeking a career change. Miller's keynote address is free and open to the public.

Miller, a speaker and frequent radio and television show guest, has written several books including No More Mondays. He has been a guest on CBS's The Early Show, MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Mathews, the 700 Club's Living the Life, and the Dave Ramsey Show. Registrants to the entire Extreme Makeover: Career Edition workshop will attend sessions led by Matt Lowney, host of Career Talk on NewsChannel 5+, and Matt LeBlanc, who has coordinated the Nashville Career Transition Group for 10 years. They will also meet one-on-one with local human resources professionals, receive a tailored Myers-Briggs Career Report and attend workshops on networking, interview skills, dealing with the emotional turmoil of a job hunt, current trends in resume writing and interviewing, using technology and a social network, gauging the value of a graduate degree in a new field and identifying strengths.
