Cafe Coco will showcase Six String Jazz, a quintet of local musicians who play standards. The quintet features Sam Frazee, gut string guitar, Ray Manley, piano, Ned Ramage, jazz guitar, Dan Wulfers, drums, and Wayne Renardson, acoustic bass. You will hear tunes from such composers as Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Count Basie, and Rogers and Hart that are at the heart of accessible American music from the 1930s to the '50s. We play this music because it has proven its worth by surviving for many years, bringing joy and beauty to thousands of people.
