    Beegie Adair, called "one of the finest piano players in the world" by Entertainment News will bring her "inventive jazz sense" to Lipscomb University's Collins Alumni Auditorium at on Saturday, April 11. The performance serves as the final concert of the 2008-09 Lipscomb Artist Series.     Adair, who was named to the exclusive list of Steinway Artists in 2002, will play jazz standards from the Great American Songbook as part of the Beegie Adair Trio, featuring Roger Spencer on bass and Chris Brown on drums. Adair has recorded 24 CDs, ranging from Cole Porter standards to Frank Sinatra classics. Her 6-CD Centennial Composers Collection of tunes by Rodgers, Gershwin, Kern, Ellington, Carmichael and Berlin became an instant collectible classic when it was released in 2002.
