Hit singer-songwriter Jon Robbin will headline Tunesmithing on Music Row. The event also will feature performances by Dale Allen, Bill Floweree, and Cassandra Kubinski. Nashville publicist Chuck Whiting and the Songwriters Guild of America Central Project Manager Kimberly Maiers Shaw will emcee the show. Tunesmithing on Music Row is sponsored by Whiting Publicity & Promotions and the Nashville office of the Songwriters Guild of America.

Jon Robbin, a native Californian, moved to Nashville in 1984. For years, he played guitar and wrote songs in a number of country bands in the San Francisco Bay area. In the late 1970s, he began sending his songs to publishers on Music Row, often receiving positive responses or single song contracts. After his arrival in Nashville, Robbin worked at his trade, setting aside time for writing and recording demos. In 1988, he met Barry and Jewel Coburn, who were starting a new publishing company, Ten Ten Music. Jewel Coburn invited him to submit his songs, which he did for the next several years. In 1993, I Guess You Had To Be There was recorded by Lorrie Morgan, which hit the top 10 of the Billboard country music singles chart. He later was signed to Ten Ten Music, going on to have more singles and album cuts, including I Breathe In, I Breathe Out, his first number one song. Robbin left Ten Ten Music in 2000. For several years, he wrote songs and had them pitched by an independent plugger. In 2003, he joined Writer Zone Music as an owner and writer.
