This civil war has lasted 40 years, with 15,000 dead and counting. What is the root of this long-standing battle fought on the streets of South Central Los Angeles? In the new documentary Crips and Bloods: Made in America, filmmaker Stacy Peralta goes deep into these neighborhoods to find out, speaking with former and current members of the Bloods and Crips, two of the most notorious and violent street gangs in America. A free screening of Crips and Bloods, presented by Nashville Public Television, Nashville Public Library and ITVS, takes place Wednesday, April 22 at Regal Green Hills Cinema Theatre 5. Tickets available at the NaFF Box Office on the lower level of theater on the day of show. Join us at 5:15pm for a free reception in the VIP Tent Area with ticket to film.
