Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra Concert

The Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO), a volunteer community orchestra under the direction of Chris Norton, Professor of Music and Director of Percussion Studies at Belmont University, will be offering a series of two concerts featuring the works of Respighi, Rossini, and Copland. On Tuesday, May 12, at 7:30pm, the orchestra will perform at Belmont Church, which is located at 68 Music Square East on Music Row. The repeat concert in the pair will be held Sunday, May 17 at 4:00pm in the sanctuary of Belmont Heights Baptist Church, located at 2100 Belmont Blvd on Belmont University's campus. Respighi's Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite 2, Rossini's La Gazza Ladra Overture, and four selections from Copland's Rodeo (Buckaroo Holiday, Coral Dance, Saturday Night Waltz, and Hoe-Down) will make up the concert.
