    Sonic Youth's current lineup consists of Thurston Moore (vocals and guitar), Kim Gordon (vocals, bass, guitar), Lee Ranaldo (vocals and guitar), Mark Ibold (bass) and Steve Shelley (drums). The band's Daydream Nation Deluxe Edition released in 2007 was hailed by Rolling Stone, Spin, and Harp magazines as the #1 reissue of the year. Rolling Stone previously declared Daydream Nation as one of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time." The record was also honored as one of the first 200 albums chosen by the Library of Congress to be included in the National Recording Registry for their historic, cultural or aesthetic importance. Also, the hit soundtrack for the movie Juno contains Sonic Youth's rendition of the Carpenters' "Superstar," and the band also features in the movie as an element of the plot.
