The next Snap on 2 & 4 at the Nashville Jazz Workshop is Friday July 24 and features the Joe Davidian Trio.

In his short time in Nashville, pianist Joe Davidian has established himself as a major musical force. A formidable talent, Joe has performed with the likes of Kevin Mahogany, Joe Lovano, and Tito Puente. With taste, chops, and lush, sensitive voicings, Joe is in demand as a solo pianist and accompanist for vocalists and small groups.

Much rarer are his appearances with his longtime trio, with bassist Jamie Ousley and drummer Austin McMahon. The trio garnered critical praise with their CD, Silent Fire, released last year. The group performs fresh arrangements of jazz standards along with original compositions by all band members, inspired by the great piano trios of jazz masters Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Oscar Peterson.

Note: Tickets go on sale July 21 at 10:00am.
