Add Review/Comment
The 2009 Annual International Black Film Festival (IBFF) will be held on September 30 - October 4. IBFF, established in 2006, is a collaboration of dedicated professionals who support the need for a “community” effort to bring African American and other Communities together to showcase their work as emerging and skilled independent filmmakers, actors, composers, screenwriters, directors and other film industry professionals. This year's festival will also feature its first-ever music film series featuring two outstanding films with explorer musical icons.
The new festival host site is the breathtaking Opryland Hotel and Convention Center and Regal Cinemas at Opry Mills. IBFFN has served many inspiring filmmakers by providing them with a venue to showcase their work and access to industry executives that help take their projects to the next level. With an estimated 2000 participants in 2008, the festival's is gaining tremendous momentum and exposure as Nashville becomes the springboard for ideas, execution, showcase and distribution. Be sure to check out the list of films and workshops on the IBFF website.
