The popular Nashville band The WannaBeatles, former Apple Records manager/Grammy-winning record producer Ken Mansfield, and superstars Wynonna and Phil Keaggy will celebrate the 42nd anniversary of The Beatles' Sergeant Pepper album on Thursday, June 9 with an evening of live music and storytelling at the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School. The With a Little Help From My Friends benefit will occur in the school's concert hall. The event will feature career reflections and readings from Mansfield; live performances by The WannaBeatles, country star Wynonna, Jonny Lang, contemporary Christian artist Phil Keaggy, country star David Ball, and other celebrity guests; and the presentation of a proclamation by Metro Councilman Parker Toler naming Jan. 30 as Nashville Beatles Music Day.

Performing various Beatles classics will be Wynonna, Keaggy, country star David Ball, jazz/blues singer-songwriter Thomas Cain with the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Jonny Lang, jazz artist Beegie Adair, and The WannaBeatles. Mansfield's appearance also will mark the official release of his latest book, The White Book -- The Beatles, the Bands, the Biz: An Insider's Look at an Era. Published by Thomas Nelson, the limited-edition book provides an intimate glimpse into The Beatles' inner sanctum and the musicians who orbited theirs and Mansfield's world. Proceeds from the concert will help the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School to continue to provide instruments and music instruction to hundreds of children from low-income families.
