A celebration of America’s freedom is the theme of The Nashville Choir’s “In God We Trust” concert to be held at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in downtown Nashville on Saturday, July 4. It is anticipated that thousands will gather for the family-friendly event commemorating the birth of our nation.
Families are encouraged to come early on the 4th to shop at the Nashville Farmers’ Market, dine at the International Food Court, and enjoy a festival atmosphere with a silent auction and appearances by local artists. Visitors will also appreciate the park’s many educational aspects including The Pathway of History, the World War II Memorial, and the Carillons and Court of Three Stars.
The concert will include patriotic favorites and historical highlights inspired by America’s founding fathers. Singers from Nashville and throughout Middle Tennessee are invited to join The Nashville Choir in forming a 1000-voice “In God We Trust” choir. Those interested in singing with the IGWT choir should plan on attending a rehearsal slated for Sunday, June 14 (Flag Day), at 2:00pm, with location to be announced.
