As part of July's FirstArtSaturday exhibition The Art of Music, Flags & Flowers, The Arts Company on 5th Avenue features works by Jorge Arrieta, Brother Mel, Myles Maillie, Bob McGill, Norris Hall and works from Ed Clark's  "July 20, 1946: Ed Clark's Day at the Opry"

The July 20, 1946, photographic essay of one day at the Opry at the Ryman by Nashville native and LIFE Magazine photographer Ed Clark is a Nashville treasure. Ed spent the day photographing people as they arrived by bus, car, and truck; while they stood in line down Fifth Avenue and around the corner on Broadway in daylight and dark; while they were seated in the audience fanning themselves and watching their favorite performers--and then performers themselves with people offering paper and pen to get their autographs. The result is iconic photography in each frame from one of the great LIFE photographers, Ed Clark.

Please note: due to the 4th of July, the July First Art Saturday will take place on Saturday, July 11, 6:00pm-9:00pm.
