Over 30 pieces of artwork created by the participants of the Creative Arts Project is currently on view at the Vanderbilt 100 Oaks Clinic. The Creative Arts Project is sponsored by the Middle Tennessee Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition (MTMHSAC). The MTMHSAC was established to enable persons with mental illness and substance abuse disorders to express their creativity through art and to help combat stigma within the community about mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse by displaying artwork.

      I very much enjoy all of the artwork hanging in the concourse of Vanderbilt One Hundred Oaks via the Creative Arts Project. All are extraordinary examples of creativty unleashed, some take me to times past in my childhood and some are just simply beautiful. I do not want to go one day with seeing these paintings, I will be very sad to see the exhibit leave us at One Hundred Oaks. Collapse
