"Nowhere Boy," a biopic exploring the childhood of a creative, spirited and curious John Lennon in post-war Liverpool, will officially kick off the 41st Nashville Film Festival, April 15-22, 2010 at Regal Green Hills Cinema. Directed by Sam Taylor-Wood in her feature-film debut, the film stars the Oscar-nominated Kristin Scott Thomas ("The English Patient," "Gosford Park," "Four Weddings and Funeral"), as Lennon's Aunt Mimi, and Aaron Johnson (“Kick-Ass”) as the young Lennon. Both Taylor-Wood and Johnson are expected to arrive on the Oreck Red Carpet and attend the screening. Closing the Festival will be the Southeast Premiere of "Teenage Paparazzo," a documentary film by Adrian Grenier about a 13-year-old paparazzo and his obsession with Hollywood celebrity culture. Grenier, best known for his role as Vincent Chase in the hit HBO series "Entourage," is expected to attend the screening along with country music artist Brad Paisley, whose short film, "When Mom's Away," will precede it.
