Bobby Austin and Tennessee State University Intramural Department present the Music City Open Martial Arts Championship.       I attended this event to compete, and not only was it unorganized, it was poorly put together. the announcer informs everyone that "they did not expect that sort of turn out" you are holding an open... Expand

      I attended this event to compete, and not only was it unorganized, it was poorly put together. the announcer informs everyone that "they did not expect that sort of turn out" you are holding an open event and you gave it a big name "the music city open" IT IS GOING TO ATTRACT ATTENTION, properly prepare for such. I emailed the school holding the open and asked about the rules and gear i would need, i got a response via email. When i get to the tournament they inform me i need more gear than they told me over email. i go to buy the gear, telling the sales person the items i needed, and the person tells me they only take cash and directed me to an a.t.m and after i get money out he then tells me they are sold out of the things i need. i am honestly disgusted of the way this was handled. please get it together for next year. these events are just going to grow.
