The Blair Percussion Ensemble, Michael Holland, director, presents PERCUSSION VORTEX, a program including the premiere of Jeffery Briggs' Ecliptic for marimba quartet, the whimsical music of Eric Stokes using springs, broom handles, and coffee cans and an encore performance of Mary Ellen Childs' CLICK!

Eric Stokes' 1980 Spring Song, composed on a commission from New Music America, combines musical genius with childlike curiosity. Audience members will get one more chance to see Mary Ellen Childs' CLICK, the piece for three stick-wielding performers that brought the house down in the spring 2009 Concert Series!

This performance will take place in the Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall.
