After landing four #1 Billboard country singles, 21 Top 10, four platinum albums, three AC hits, multiple CMA and ACM nominations and years of sold-out tours, Collin Raye stepped back and thought about the album he’s always wanted to do. His love for country music steeped in faith always comes first, but wouldn’t it be great, he wondered, to make an album that feels like your favorite old leather jacket? The one you slip into and find a ticket stub from that Eagles concert long ago tucked away in a pocket, or catch a glimpse of yourself in a storefront window and swear the ghost of Gram Parsons is looking back at you. So Collin set out to record an album just like that jacket, filled with a lifetime of memories and inspirations, all wrapped up around the person he is today.

Never Going Back finds Collin doing just that – reveling in the sound of the ‘70s era Southern California folk/country/rock n roll movement but not reliving it. He updates while letting the original glow shine through, creating an album that begs to be live and onstage. From the roaring, feel-good romp of “Mid Life Chrysler” to the powerful reworking of “Without You,” a duet with Grammy nominee Susan Ashton, Never Going Back bears another trademark of the LP years; a great listen from start to finish.

Collin Raye, who earned four number-one Billboard country singles, 21 Top Ten singles, four platinum albums and multiple nominations from the Country Music Association and Association of Country Music, is also known for his humanitarian work with organizations like Boys Town, First Steps, Special Olympics, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and more. His show at the world-famous Wildhorse is one of many slated on this artist's summer and fall tour schedule.
