The National Association of Music Merchants’ summer trade show, better known as “NAMM,” is coming once again to Music City.
The annual event returns to the Nashville Convention Center and brings more than 450 exhibitors with the latest in musical instruments, technologies, and related studio and touring products such as staging and lighting.
Music supplies are a $17 billion industry, and NAMM is where music dealers regularly decide on purchasing for the holiday season. But it’s also where artists go to demo new instruments and schmooze for sponsorship deals, so there will be plenty of live music and artist appearances.
Summer NAMM had moved to other cities in the past, citing a lack of space in Nashville, but organizers say Nashville is a singular place to hold such an event. More than 12,000 people are expected to attend NAMM from around the world.
