First Friday Sacred Soul Space with Ruth McGinnis and Friends

"Love and Light" is the theme for this month's First Friday Sacred Soul Space service on Friday, August 7 at 6:00pm at Christ Church Cathedral. This theme is taken from the title of special guest artist Ruth McGinnis' most recent CD, "Songs of Love and Light." Ruth is an author, recording artist, wellness professional and cancer survivor, known for her beautiful music and inspirational storytelling. She trained on violin at the Julliard school of music. She is an interpreter of Celtic, folk, sacred, classical and contemporary melodies. Ruth will be joined by talented musicians, Chelsea Payne on keyboard, Ronnie Brooks on acoustic guitar, Denis Solee on saxophone and flute, and Gary Smith on bass. The service is contemporary worship grounded in the "Book of Common Prayer." Childcare is provided and a reception follows.
