Split Second is a presentation by Collards & Caviar written by Dennis McIntyre with Elliott Robinson, John Wiggins, LaToya Gardner, Toyus Green, Bret Wilson and Matt Bolton during the Shades of Black Festival.

Set in 1980s NYC, Split Second is a bruising contemporary story that dramatizes the crisis of conscience of an off-duty black police officer (Val Johnson) following his fatal encounter with a white car thief.
