Right in the heart of downtown Nashville, Tennessee is a place as friendly as it is ferocious. It is a place so full of raw energy and gut-wrenching excitement that the unexpected is a nightly occurrence. It is the place that the Nashville Predators proudly call home. Welcome to Smashville. To experience the all-in attitude, energy and intensity of a Predators game, visit NashvillePredators.com or call 615-770-PUCK.
This Saturday, the Nashville Predators and Vanderbilt University Medical Center will team up to host the second of two benefit nights this season, raising money and awareness for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Designated as “Nashville Predators Care for Kids” game night, 25 percent of every single-game ticket sold, 100 percent of the silent-auction proceeds and any cash donations received will be donated back to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in support of the Vanderbilt Childhood Cancer Program.
Initiatives from this special night include:
* Both the Predators and Vanderbilt University Medical Center joined together to contribute many unique and exciting items for fans to bid on including: a Vanderbilt Life Flight ride along, a VUMC Hot Air Balloon ride, a suite to the Black Eyed Peas concert, a Hockey Fights Cancer jersey signed by Jordin Tootoo and several ceramic plates designed by patients from Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
* The Ford Fund Donation – For every Predators save on Saturday night, Ford will donate $250 (up to $5,000) to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
* Fans may donate $5 to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital by texting “PREDS” to 85944.
* DNC-Sportservice will donate a percentage of the proceeds for each souvenir cup sold to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for the remainder of the season.
* Child Ambassador for the evening, Elisha Mott, a young cancer patient, will run the air horn in between periods and ride the Zamboni.
* Hockey Fights Cancer team-autographed hats will be offered for sale at the silent auction table, with all proceeds going back to support the initiative.
* J.P. Dumont’s suite, Dumont’s Den, will host pediatric cancer families and will receive a post game meet and greet.
