Have you ever wondered about "Plein Air" painting? Richland Fine Art's September 3rd participation in the Nashville Art Dealers Association's "First Thursday" program will feature an informal discussion and question/answer session by Roger Dale Brown, Paula Frizbe and Dawn Whitelaw centered around their recent plein air trip to Door County, Wisconsin. They will show some of their plein air sketches and tell how they use them in creating studio paintings. This will be an exciting preview of Richland's Fall Exhibition of their work opening Thursday, October 29th.

We'll be open until 8:00pm Thursday. The artists talk will begin at 6:30pm. Come learn about "plein air", visit with the artists and enjoy fine wine from Grace's Wine & Spirits. Macke's Fine Dinning will also be offering something special to gallery guests.

Celebrating the end of summer and the beginning of fall,After After Hours, Nashville's first monthly city-wide art event, seeks to elevate awareness and support for the visual arts in Nashville. On the first Thursday of each month participating galleries and museums will be opening and previewing new shows and presenting art talks with insightful discussions. Click here for a NAAD gallery map.
