    Nashville awaits Sweet Adelines International as nearly 7,000 a cappella vocalists from around the world prepare for the 2009 International Convention and Competition. Attendees will converge during the week of Oct. 20 - 24, 2009, at the Sommet Center for five days of barbershop singing competitions. On Saturday, Oct. 24 convention attendees will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for Largest Singing Lesson. An official representative from Guinness World Records will be in attendance. Sweet Adelines International's President will lead the entire audience in a record-setting singing lesson that evening as the chorus final competitions come to a close. Sweet Adelines International members are women who excel in singing the distinctive musical art form of four-part harmony, barbershop style.
