The Nashville Predators are set to host Preds Fest, a three-day fan-appreciation event featuring several unique experiences to be held at the Sommet Center, September 17-19.
Day One of Preds Fest will kick off at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 with an open-to-the-public Morning Skate at the Sommet Center where fans will be invited to take in the team’s morning on-ice session. The Predators flagship radio station, 104.5 The Zone will be broadcasting live on the concourse from 2-7 p.m. and the Predators will be holding a clearance event from 12-4 p.m. in the Pro Shop.
The Predators are also inviting fans to attend that evening’s 7 p.m. game vs. the Atlanta Thrashers for free. Free ticket vouchers for the Sept. 17 game can be acquired from several locations. Starting Friday, Sept. 11, ticket vouchers may be accessed through the team’s official Facebook page or at Fleming’s restaurant from 5-7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 12 vouchers may be picked up at the Nashville Zoo (10 a.m.-12 p.m.), Adventure Science Center (12-2 p.m.) or A-game Sportsplex (2-4 p.m.). All offers valid only while supplies last. All vouchers must be redeemed by 5 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Sommet Center Box Office. In the event the game reaches full capacity, vouchers may be put towards one of the following preseason games on Saturday, Sept. 19 or Sept. 26.
Prior to the start of the Sept. 17 game, the Predators new Third Jersey will be revealed in a pre-game ceremony. Players debuting the new jersey will be available for autographs on the main concourse during the first intermission.
Day Two of Preds Fest will begin with an open on-ice practice at Centennial Sportsplex at 10 a.m. Later in the day, the Sommet Center will host a rematch of last year’s Preds Cup final between Father Ryan and JP II at 4:30 p.m. Day Two of Preds Fest will also feature an alumni autograph signing on the main concourse from 4-5 p.m. featuring Stu Grimson and Jim McKenzie. All events are free to the public.
Day Three of Preds Fest opens promptly at 10 a.m. at the Sommet Center with several different events including: an open-to-the-public Morning Skate, free coffee and donuts on the plaza and a “Play Hockey/Give Blood” Drive Challenge (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.). From 1 – 3 p.m. the Sommet Center will host a public skate. Skaters must bring their own skates. The Predators will also be hosting a free tailgate party on the plaza from 4 -7 p.m. The party will include a live band, inflatables and much more. For a small admission charge, a BBQ dinner will be provided by Rippy’s. Doors for that evening’s preseason game vs. the Atlanta Thrashers open at 6 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start.
The Predators would like to thank participating sponsors of Preds Fest, including: Best Buy, Bridgestone/Firestone, Cracker Barrel, Gaylord Opryland, Jersey Mike’s, Land Rover Nashville, O’Charley’s, Papa John’s, Renaissance Nashville Hotel and Wendy’s.
