The Fiery Gizzard Trail is one of the best known trails in the Southeast. As a 13.3 mile linear trail, this trek will lead you through dense boulder pits, along clear water in the valley of the gorge, massive rock formations, waterfalls, thick forest, open fields, and along a bluff line with rock climbing routes below.

We will start the hike at the Grundy Forest Trail Head and end it at Foster Falls. We'll set up a shuttle from Foster Falls back to the Grundy Forest Trail Head. The total length of the hike is 13.3 miles which includes .8 miles to Ravens Point and back. The hike is strenuous with many ups and downs and unsteady rocks especially for the first 4.5 miles, requiring sturdy hiking boots. Also bring plenty of water, snacks and lunch.
