Celebrate New Year's Eve at the Ryman with Old Crow Medicine Show and special guest Chuck Mead.

Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) have come full circle playing their own brand of American roots music with a rock and roll attitude. The quintet met in New York in 1998 and hit the road, traveling city to city in a van and busking in the streets. OCMS can attribute much of their success to their relentless touring schedule. Between headlining shows and countless festivals (Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, etc), the band is constantly on the road and thrives off of their fans and live shows. They have made a name for themselves as energetic performers with an unbridled spirit. Band members include: Kevin Hayes – Guitjo and Vocals; Ketch Secor – Fiddle, Harmonica, Banjo and Vocals; Morgan Jahnig – Upright Bass; Willie Watson – Guitar, Banjo and Vocals and Gill Landry – Slide Guitar, Banjo and Vocals.

Chuck Mead has been known as the co-founder of the three-time Grammy nominated BR549, the honky-tonk heroes that almost single-handedly lit and carried the blowtorch for the mid-‘90s alternative country explosion. He’s been hailed as ‘The Hillbilly Renaissance Man’ for his subsequent successes as a songwriter, performer, producer and musical theater director. Now after more than a decade as one of the most uncompromising and consistent talents in the American roots music movement, Chuck Mead at last emerges with the most anticipated role of his entire career: Solo Artist. With Journeyman’s Wager, Chuck Mead throws down the gauntlet with an album that defies all sonic expectations while re-defining his position as one of the hardest-working artists in the business.
