In The Round with Tom House, R.B. Morris, David Olney, Matt Urmy. This could be considered the “poets and prophets round” so profound are the writings and general musings of these four songwriters. Morris has been described by local music scribe Peter Cooper as, “an eccentric melding of blistering rock and roll, beat poetry, hillbilly twang, spiritual musings and road-weary, punch drunk tales. . .” It seems a selections from that description can be applied to the rest of the gents in this round. Their combined catalogues run the gamut of everything in that description and beyond: I Don’t Know, Love Lay Softly, 1917, Deeper Well, Woman Across The River, New Year Morning, Renaissance Rodeo, Come Home and more!
