Lipscomb University's Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers will perform at 7:30pm, Thursday, Nov. 19, in Ward Hall. This concert is free and open to the public. The Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers are 2009 additions to Lipscomb University's wide range of performing ensembles. The Chamber Singers are a quintet, specializing this semester on madrigals from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The performance will include arrangements of Anima dolorosa by Claudio Monteverdi; All at Once Well Met by Thomas Weelkes; Ach, weh des Leiden by Hans Leo Hassler; and many others. The Chamber Singers are directed by Dr. Gary Wilson, professor of music. The Chamber Orchestra is directed by Dr. Steven Rhodes, professor of music.
